2 Korintus 1:11

1:11 as you also join in helping us by prayer, so that many people may give thanks to God ¹  on our behalf for the gracious gift given to us through the help of many.

2 Korintus 4:4

4:4 among whom the god of this age has blinded the minds of those who do not believe ²  so they would not see the light of the glorious gospel ³  of Christ, ⁴  who is the image of God.

[1:11]  ¹ tn Grk “so that thanks may be given by many.” The words “to God” are not in the Greek text, but are implied. The passive construction has been converted to an active one for clarity, in keeping with contemporary English style.

[4:4]  ² tn Or “of unbelievers.”

[4:4]  ³ tn Grk “the gospel of the glory”; δόξης (doxhs) has been translated as an attributive genitive.

[4:4]  ⁴ tn Or “so that the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ would not be evident to them” (L&N 28.37).
